Who we are

skincareforacne.com is its own operator. Any choice about the data on this page is made by us. Questions: privacy@skincareforacne.com.

What we process

Visit statistics

We count visits with an analytics tool that keeps its data in the EU. Your browser sends the data to our own address (/api/event/), which forwards it to that tool together with your IP address, from which the tool derives an approximate country and city. We don't store the IP address ourselves. Each visit gets a random number kept in your tab's session storage, which disappears when you close the tab. No cookies are used for this.

If you visit from the European Economic Area or nearby, counting only starts after you click “Allow” in the statistics notice. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie choice” at the bottom of the home page.

The link to acne.today

The “Start my analysis” buttons lead through our address /analyze to acne.today, a separate paid service for an AI face analysis. The link tells acne.today that you came from this site (“src=skincare”) and, where relevant, what you picked in the builder. We receive no photos, answers or payment details from acne.today, which has its own privacy policy. We may earn money when you buy the analysis through these links.

How long we keep data

Server logs: up to 90 days. Statistics: as long as they help us improve the site, at most 2 years. Emails: as long as needed to answer you, at most 2 years.

Sharing

We share data only with that analytics tool for statistics and with our hosting provider, as far as needed. We don't sell data.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and you can object. Email privacy@skincareforacne.com; we reply within four weeks. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority where you live.
